After 31 years at the Donovan Gallery at Tiverton Four Corners, teaching, directing the Making Art/Plein Air seminars, I am now enjoying my little studio and simply painting.
After a formal education in Art Education, I studied with some of the country’s finest instructors including Charles Reid, Daniel Green, Thomas Sgouros, Joseph McGurl, Richard McKinley, and Donald Demers.
I enjoy working in pastels, oils, and watercolor. I am currently exploring working with wool and dry needle felting. I strive to capture my impression of the Sakonnet landscape and other magical coastal venues. Finding interesting patterns of shapes, shadows, and colors in a diverse range of subject matter helps me to choose the medium to match the moment.
I am so blessed to be living in Little Compton where the coastal landscape and seascapes are just waiting to be painted! The ever changing landscape, the light playing on the sea and the fields, and inspiration from many years of collecting still life painting subjects lets me explore many different options daily.
Whether working on location or in my studio in Little Compton, RI, I continually strive to capture a unique impression of the Sakonnet landscape and other magical coastal New England venues.
Please enjoy the website where you will see available watercolors, oils, pastels, and acrylic paintings, all beautifully framed and ready for your home or for special gift giving.
